Established in 2018, WLU emerged from a vision to take charge of creating the future we want, uplift the well-being of all Ugandans, while focusing on unity and shared prosperity.
WLU's flagship initiative, "The 10,000 Project," is a call to action. As of 2018, Uganda's population wasestimated at approximately 44 million, with 15 million living below the poverty line. WLU aims to mobilize a minimum of 1 million Ugandans, each contributing 10,000/= per month.

WLU operates as a non-political and non-religious entity, focusing solely on project progress, community growth strategies, and the upliftment of lives.
WLU is fully and legally registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau under Registration Number: 80020000762673. It is also registered with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) with Tin Number: 1013000504
